Terribly hard to order online I tried for over a week to give a little three plant order and finally called pissed consumer to get help ordering.

My complaint is that I had such a wild runaround trying to order online that after a week of trying I called pissed consumer and the delightful knowledgeable young man helped me put in an order for three little plants and I was so exhausted but so determined to have those three little plants that I even agreed to pay twice the cost of the little plants in shipping and handling just to put it into the aggravation. He was very helpful, wrote up the order, got the correct amount which was still half again as much as it should have been but when I was trying to order it they were coming up with a total instead of $22 they were saying I owed them $87. I appreciate his help but Im not sure Ill be trying to get anything through Springhill nurseries ever again Im too old for this foolishness.

User's recommendation: I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be recommending Springhill to anyone else unless I go straight to Customer Service and have them fill out an order for me because your path to follow to get an order in is much too difficult

My hellebore arrived brown and shriveled - dead leaves. Sent a photo to customer service and asked for a refund. They said no refunds, just replacements but it is sold out even though its available for order with delivery later. They offered $20 credit which isnt even close to replacement cost esp with their expensive shipping. Much better service and quality from Walmart online.

Refused a refund even though they sent me the wrong plant.

All they would give me was a store credit. If I want the correct plant, even though it's available this fall, I have to wait until spring of NEXT YEAR and call them on the phone to get the "Spring" batch.

Bad plants/Poor inventory and lack of consideration of planting times in various states

Like so many others, this is a skam company. Placed an order in February, 2022 and got good prices. So I was happy. Placed a second order in March even though I had not received the first one. But hey, they gave me a shipping date so I waited. Received a partial order which part was already dead. Kept checking website for the remaining items because it was getting late in year to plant. Called customer service and they stated will be shipped soon. After several weeks received another part of order which arrived dead. Call to ask for refund which they would provide a replacement certificate, which I did not want because I will never order from this company again. After a run around they refunded my money. Representative was nice and helpful. We still have other items to come which finally did and they were dead. Some of other items cancelled due to being out of stock. I ordered these in February. A Replacement Certificate issued , called and stated I wanted a refund because I will never order from this company again. The customer service person was nice and helpful after I got kind of huffy with her she issued a refund. DON'T BOTHER BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY,

I ordered 3 plants for $65. What I got was basically three plastic bags of dirt with some "roots". I do not believe these will grow into anything at all and it's just been a waste of money. They were shipped in a plastic bag so were tossed around all over from where ever they came from and what dirt may have been on the roots is no longer on the roots ... just a bag of loose dirt.

I had ordered 4 RUBY SLIPPERS DWARF OAKLEAF HYDRANGEA plants back in March, 12, 2022, but each time that I went online to see when they would be shipped, SPRING HILL would change the date further and further up the calendar date. Then I received an email (June 28, 2022) stating that they cancelled my order because it was SOLD OUT. How could that have been since I ordered them way back in March? I will never, ever purchase another plant from SPRING HILL again. They are totally unreliable! Save your money and go elsewhere.

THEY DO NOT REPLY TO EMAILS AND IF LUCKY AFTER NUMEROUS TIMES OF PHONE, SOMEONE WILL ANSWER BUT THE BEST PART SAID CUSTOMER REP DO NOT HAVE A CLUE AND YOU WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO VARIOUS AREAS. IN ADDITION, DELIVERY TIME OF ORDER IS UNCERTAIN, BEING CHANGED ALMOST EVERYDAY.

They are not good for customer service and I have 3 charges on my account and no products. Also they hung up on me.

After calling and asking they repeated the same thing. So I got no where. Not sure if they even understand my concern. Or could help as they seem far away. I guess it is a company scam.

Plants I ordered last year, did not come up this year

Order # 114******** I planted it around the end of Sep or around the first of Oct. Item # 07653 Died and did not start to regrow this year. (1) Order # 114******** and Order # 118******** I planted them about the same time last year. Item # 07653 it is dead and did not restart this year. (1) Item # 63922 they did not restart this year. (2) Item # 74183 both have little leaves on them and are doing fine. Could I get the other items replaced so I could get them started this year with the other plants. Thank you for your time.

UNHAPPY CUSTOMER - GOING ELSEWHERE

I ordered a Romeo Cherry Tree for $89.99, today, 03/19/22. I just received from FedEx a box - thinking it must be one of my orders. I looked inside, I received a Green Giant Thuja LEAF, not plant plus, I did not order this. I called customer service and cancelled all three orders, they telling me I will receive a CREDIT. NO!!!, I do not want a credit, I want a REFUND. Also, I ordered a Catmint Purrsian Blue for $13.49 - if I had known this plant was going to be this small. Never again will I order from Springhill. Other online nurseries, I have no issue with the cost nor size. But I will say the representative name Vincent was pleasant and very professional. Oh!!, Vincent did tell me the refund was approved.
